On the road to Anwyn's table
An ancient Lady sits,
Calling out to every passerby.
Some travelers will heed her,
While others go on past,
As each goes out on his way to die.

Chorus:
Listen to the words of the old woman,
Pay heed to what she has to say.
"Be 'ware of what goes on around you.
Guard now 'gainst what they do today!"

She tells us of the angry god
Who demanded all from men,
Their bodies, their spirits and their souls.
He took all this away from them
And left them only shame
Saying only he could be their goal.

Chorus:

Some have fled to Faerie
Where only we are known,
While others of our kind were caught and burned.
And even though the times have changed
And the fires are burning low
The path some men have taken has not turned.

Chorus:

So still the Lady warns us
On our pathway to the stars,
She always tries to guard Her children's way,
We yet must keep in darkness
The secrets of our Craft,
For even now we have not seen the day...

Chorus:
