Fanny Seward




           The only daughter of Secretery of State William Henry Seward, was at her father's bedside when Lewis Paine entered the house to attempt to also assassinate her father. Sec. Seward survived the attack, but his wife, her frail health broken by the shock, died two months later. Fanny, who had never been robust, succumbed the following year.
