Your recipes sound so exotic, so unlike my New England cooking. I only cook rarely now, and mostly for potlucks. Will try out some of your fun recipes.

Hi Mariah,
This web page is so beautiful. I love sea shells and various sea creatures. Wouldn't it be wonderful to have forever to search for and treasure such gems? If you did have forever, what else would you do besides sing and look for various sea creatures such as seashells, etc.? I know what I would do. If you like, I will tell you what Ibwould do when you send me an e-mail. I hope you continue to have good health and many more years of singing.

Thu, 6 Sep 2001 Radu Popescu Romania prdcu2000pp@yahoo.com I am a seashell collector from Romania, country situated in the east part of Europe. I am 16 years old and I like very much shell collecting. The big problem is that the sea in my country, The Black Sea, is situated 800 KM from the place I live so I go there once a year. The Black Sea has about 6 species in totally (it doesn't have COWRIES, CONES or MUREX) so it is very hard for me to make a collection full of varieties. Also there are NONE seashell shops to buy from. But even if there would be I wouldn't have money to buy them because the economy in Romania isn't in very good shape. I don't want you to think I am poor, because I am not!! But spending let's say 20 $ on a good shell is almost impossible (the average salary in Romania is about 40 $ - very low). Also postal taxes are very high so the only way I could make a collection was for people to send me some seashells. And people did. Good people I met on the net that after became my best friends sent me seashells. Wonderful seashells. Not perfect of course, some have scratches, some you wouldn't even say they are seashells. But this doesn't matter for me. I treat each seashell with the same respect. And that is how a boy from Romania, a country where the word "shelling" isn't spoke many times, made a small collection of seashells. This is my story… I wanted to ask you by this message about your life, sea shelling in your life and shelling tips in generally. If you have time and money and you think that speaking to me wouldn't do you no harm please write me… I wait for any kinds of comment. Thank you very much and have a good day!! **************************************************
