Your site is beautiful. I am descended from John
and Rebecca Lawson, Shenedoah Valley, VA area, in the late
1700's. Early 1800's John moved to Beards Run, WV. Children
of John & Rebecca: Nancy, Alexander [Sauney], Theophilus,
William, Mary Ann, Holsey and Rebecca. My direct line is:
Corbley Glen Lawson, s/o Rev. Dr. Corbley Croner, s/o William
Miller Lawson, s/o Cornelius, s/o William, s/o John Lawson.
Could there be any connection with your Lawson family?
Thank you for the lyrics. I have spent hours writing the
lyrics and playing my tapes or cd's over and over to get them all.
You have saved my writing hand!

Hello from a fellow descendant of Nicholas Newlin who also
follows old ways. I just told my wife that the wyrd has been with my
family for hundreds of years, and you helped to confirm it.
My husband and I are members of the Atlanta History Center.
It houses the Dubous collection of the War Between the States. A
guide tells what happened during the entire war.
My husband and I have been to several re-enactments and he loves the
old steam trains. It has been interesting to learn about Kennesaw,
Marietta, and Atlanta and how they were thrown into the war.
We have been to Kennesaw Mountain several times and look forward to
visiting other places of the War Between the States.
We also bought a book about John Snyden. The pictures this man drew
is awesome. It really shows how men lived in the prisons of the
North and South. Very interesting book about his life and the
pictures that he drew during this time period.

I enjoyed your site. I play trombone in the New Holland
Band - New Holland, PA. The band has a museuem - The New Holland
Band Museum - on the 2nd floor of the Eastern County Library.
We have some old instruments from the civil war period and some old
uniforms - I don't think any civil war uniforms. Lots of pictures.
All sorts of instruments.
The band has been in continuous existence since 1856.
During the civil war, it was the 203rd PA Regimental Band. We would
be interested in any info you might have about the 203rd regiment.
We would love to have actual pictures - or a uniform from the 203rd
band.
I like to hear the nice old songs from the great American Civil War
very much. Its not easy to understand the full text by hearing. So
its a greatful idea to print the text in the web. The nice pictures
fits to the songs.

that.
Great site! A lot of hard work, and I really enjoy the diversity of

Just trying to figure out all I can about faceting. I have
been faceting for about 8 months and since there are no "Clubs" in
the area I taught myself. I found a used "American Facetor" on ebay
that had not cut a full stone before the previous owner gave up. I
would like to make a collection for myself, however, every stone I
cut someone wants set. I then got into jewelry repair. I wish I
could quit my current job (Computer Specialist/Chemical Biological
Detection Specialist) and do this full time. Relaxing does not
hardly describe the benefits......
A friend directed me to this web sight, and I would welcome
any information you might have. I have been studying the Knights
Templars and I have many Templars and Freemasons in my family tree.

"THE WISH TO BE AN INDIAN"
If one were only an Indian, instantly alert, and on a racing
horse, leaning against the wind, kept on quivering jerkily
over the quivering ground, until one shed one's spurs, for
there needed no spurs, threw away the reins, for there needed
no reins, and hardly saw the land before one was smoothly
shorn heath when horse's neck and head would already be gone.

Hello...Visiting for the first time. I do appreciate
your 'ministry' (sharing). Thank you in advance for your
visits! (smile).

I don't think you'll be disappointed! Well, bless
ya! May your 'ministry' be a blessing around the world!

didn't 'pay attention' or read well, BUT! I did! Are you
honest? If so, I respect you...and assume that you're seeking
truth(?) So am I! If I want truth to respect me, then, I must
have respect for YOU too! smile. Now, I doubt if most would
understand(?) or agree with 'this' entry!! smile...

Just found this website and am very interested in
anything about the Civil War as my great grandfather, George
Britting was in the 100th NY. Vol. Inf.-Co.A and taken
prisoner at Drury's Bluff, Va. and was in Andersonville
Prison. Any information I can get would be appreciated as I
have proof he was that but they don't list him as a prisoner
on their list at the Andersonville museum. I am a newcomer to
computers and genealogy at age 74 and want to find out all I
can while I can.
