Index settings are for an 96 tooth gear.

These angles are satisfactory for synthetic corundum, synthetic spinel, YAG, cubic zirconia, peridot, garnet, tourmaline and any other stones having similar refractive angles.

Crown The crown may be cut in two ways: the shaded facets are left unpolished to bring out the star. Of course, they may ALL be polished if you prefer. NOTE: In working set 2 of the crown facets, cut those for indexes 94 and 18 as a pair, and cut only 2/3rds of the way, then, looking directly at the table, check the alignment of these two facets and adjust if necessary. 1. Cut 6 facets at 43 degrees. Index 96,16,32,48,64,80. 2. Cut 12 facets at 37 1/4 degrees. Index 94-2, 14-18, 30-34, 46-50, 62-66, 78-82. 3. Cut 6 facets at 27 degrees. Index 8, 24, 40, 56, 72, 88. 4. Cut 6 facets at 18 degrees. Index 8, 24, 40, 56, 72, 88. 5. Cut the table at 0 degrees.	Pavilion 1. Cut 6 facets at 54 degrees. Index 96,16, 32, 48, 64, 80. 2. 2. Cut 12 facets at 43 1/2 degrees. Index 93-3, 13-19, 29-35, 45-51, 61-67, 77-83. 3. Cut 6 facets at 41 degrees. Index 8, 24, 40, 56, 72, 88. 4. Cut 6 facets at 44 degrees. Index 96,16, 32, 48, 64, 80.
